<p> Bear Creek Jr. Sport Association Meeting Minutes: February 17, 2015</p><p>Called to order by: Amy Nuanes</p><p>Attendees: Amy Nuanes, Stacey Madrid, Bob Brown, Sean McNeal, Casey Hunt, Jerry Sipres, George Martinez, Josh Tafoya, Claude Vigil </p><p>Meeting called to order at 7:01 pm</p><p>REPORT FROM THE BOARD: </p><p>President: Amy– nothing at this time</p><p>Treasurer : Pam – Not present (Insurance deductible will be $500 – voted by email this week)</p><p>Vice President: Claude Vigil - email from Bill West. He has resigned at this time due to work schedule. Spoke with Keith at JMFA about using him as a resource for League Athletic Questions. </p><p>Fields & Facilities: Felipe Cervantes – Not present</p><p>Website & Fundraising: - Bill resigned. Will need to find someone else to fill this position. </p><p>COMMITTEE REPORTS:</p><p>By Laws: Jeff Pigati – Not present (may need to find a new person) </p><p>Scholarship: – Pam Miranda – Not present (Stacey and Pam are discussing dates, forms,etc)</p><p>Capital Reserve: Troy Robberson – Not present </p><p>Investigative Committee: Claude Vigil - 1 complaint on basketball – waiting to hear from Jerry on the details. </p><p>Nomination Committee: – Amy Nuanes - Nomination for football – Mike Mestas (no other candidates, so Mike is our new Football Director)</p><p>New Business: Dave Luedke Fundraiser – BCJSA has been asked to donate an item or a money donation. Voted that we will donate $200 to the cause.</p><p>Old Business: - Has anyone spoke to Troy about the 2nd sport going into AYL? Amy will follow up with Troy on this. </p><p>Sean asked about a small tough shed at Schaefer, but has not received a response from Kevin at Foothills.. </p><p>Sports Reports</p><p>Baseball – Troy – Not present </p><p>Midget Baseball – Josh Tafoya –Registration Open - Put up 100 signs, sent blast emails. April 11th is the tentative date for Opening Ceremonies. </p><p>Fall Baseball – Jeff Pigati – Not present</p><p>Basketball – Jessica/Jerry - Not present. Last week of games and tournament starts next week. </p><p>Golf – Jack –. Not present (Update: tentative 2 sessions: July 6th to August 29th 10-15 Sometime in September do a 4 week class for beginners)</p><p>Football – Claude – Not present (mike updated: Claude voted into JMFA rules committee. </p><p>Flag football – George Martinez – Doing off season stuff right now. Trying to decide if they will stay with South Jeffco or not. </p><p>Soccer – Bob Brown – Registration still open for spring season. Sitting at about 240-250. Down a bit from last Spring. Certification Class is this coming Sunday. </p><p>Lacrosse – Sean - Registration open. Late fee begins the 20th and close the 28th officially. Lacrosse grew 53% since last year. Bear Creek night at the Outlaws – May 24th. Sunday sessions at BCHS has been great. Parents are pleased. Parent workshop scheduled for Friday, February 27th. </p><p>Softball - Casey - Reg is open. Sent another email blast today. Kathyann said we are on target for registration and close to same as last year. Set up photos to be taken. </p><p>Meeting adjourned : 7:26</p>
