<p> AMC Radiology Job Description</p><p>Job Title: Radiologic Technologist</p><p>Supervised by: Radiologic and Staff Physicians</p><p>Responsible to: Department Supervisor</p><p>Qualifications & Skills:</p><p>1. Current ARRT registry. North Dakota State Licensure.</p><p>2. Use of technologies. People skills. Dependability. Maintain a safe and effective environment.</p><p>3. General radiography skills. CT and Mammography preferred but will train.</p><p>HOURS: Day time hours 5 days per week. Hours vary for rotating call: nights, weekends, and holiday.</p><p>General Duties:</p><p>1. Responsible for the completion of diagnostic imaging exams requested by providers utilizing proper positioning, exam guidelines, exam technique and appropriate patient care to produce optimal quality diagnostic images. Maintain BLS-CPR training.</p><p>2. Follow radiation safety guidelines using proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process to protect patients and employees. </p><p>3. Provide appropriate patient care and education before during and after the procedure.</p><p>4. Arrange for exams provided by mobile services as requested by healthcare providers.</p><p>5. Completion of all appropriate paper work before and after exams. Maintain appropriate records. </p><p>6. Responsible for all QC & QA and equipment maintenance in the department.</p><p>7. A commitment to find ways to provide the highest quality of care possible to our community.</p><p>8. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection – control protocols.</p><p>9. Willingness to help wherever needed. Desire to learn new modalities and continually improve skills.</p><p>10. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures. Rules and regulations.</p><p>Job Knowledge:</p><p>1. Knowledge of required diagnostic imaging procedures. Familiar with equipment used: R/F general radiology (CR), CT, digital mammography and computers.</p><p>2. Secretarial and organization duties. Physical Demands:</p><p>1. Putting the care of the patient first. </p><p>2. Able to assist patients with all types of conditions as well as helping co-workers.</p><p>Working Conditions:</p><p>Staff is small, “work together” with occasional overlap to aid other departments. A Radiology Group is on staff and interpret all our procedures as well as supervising the department. The radiology equipment is up to date, upgrades done as required. The hospital is a well-kept older facility with an attached skilled nursing facility. </p>
