<p>Job title: Programme Administrator</p><p>Reports to: Senior Programme Administrator </p><p>Department: School of Health Sciences </p><p>Location: Falmer</p><p>Grade: 4</p><p>Purpose of the role: To support the Continuing Professional and Post Graduate Education team by providing high quality administrative support.</p><p>Main areas of responsibility: </p><p> To organise and co-ordinate the effective administration of the CPPGE programmes in the School of Health Sciences in liaison with the School Admin Management Team.</p><p>- To co-ordinate student enrolment for relevant courses including collection of fees, entry of enrolment details on central records systems, in liaison with Academic Services.</p><p>- To organise induction events including timetable of events, correspondence with students and staff.</p><p>- To provide effective administration for the assigned CPPGE modules including module registration, attendance, evaluation and production of reports for monitoring purposes.</p><p>- To oversee the collection and recording of student assignments, extensions and mitigating circumstances.</p><p>- To act as a point of contact with students, maintaining communication channels i.e. student central.</p><p>08 May 2018 - EC</p><p> To provide administrative support for the School Administrative Management Team and CPPGE course and modules leaders.</p><p>- To undertake general administrative tasks as required.</p><p>- To assist with projects or development initiatives as appropriate.</p><p>- To provide basic technical support to staff and students as required.</p><p>- To keep up to date with all aspects of school and university policy and practice.</p><p> To undertake the administration for a range of awards within the School, ensuring agreed standards and deadlines are met.</p><p>- To maintain student assessment records database (CAMS).</p><p>- To service the area/ course examination boards.</p><p>- To prepare and distribute minutes, mark sheets, pass lists and results letters.</p><p>- To ensure students comply with the statutory requirements of the courses.</p><p>- To develop and maintain student files and spreadsheet systems in support of their courses.</p><p>General responsibilities</p><p>These are standard to all University of Brighton job descriptions.</p><p> To undertake other duties appropriate to the grade and character of work as may be reasonably required, including specific duties of a similar or lesser grade.</p><p> To adhere to the University’s Equality and Diversity Policy in all activities, and to actively promote equality of opportunity wherever possible</p><p> To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.</p><p> To work in accordance with the Data Protection Act.</p><p>08 May 2018 - EC</p><p>The person specification focuses on the knowledge, qualifications, experience and skills (both general and technical) required to undertake the role effectively. Self-motivation  Meets priorities and deadlines with a minimum of A/I supervision;  Is committed to continuous self-development.</p><p>Team work  Is flexible, co-operative and helpful; A/I  Respects ideas and expertise of others;  Appreciates own strengths and weaknesses.</p><p>08 May 2018 - EC</p><p>Desirable  Experience of working in Higher Education; A/I  Servicing of committees;  Familiarity with CAMS or similar systems;  Ability to travel to other campuses.</p><p> Any appointment is generally made at the bottom of the salary range for the grade dependent upon experience and previous salary.  This post is fixed term for one year due to a staff member reducing their hours.  Annual leave entitlements are shown in the table below and increase after 5 years’ service. In addition, to the eight Bank Holidays, there are university discretionary days between Christmas and New Year.
