<p>Mrs. Zerwig’s Chocolate Chip Cookies</p><p>2-1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda ¾ cup margarine (melted and cooled) 1-1/2 cups brown sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons vanilla Sugar Cookies- 1 cup chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees Preheat oven to 350 degrees. ¼ cup vegetable oil Combine flour and baking soda. Bake 10-12 minutes. 1/8 teaspoon salt</p><p>1. In large bowl mix shortening and peanut butter. 2. Stir in sugar and brown sugar 3. Stir in egg and vanilla 4. In medium bowl stir together with a fork flour baking soda, and salt 5. Stir the flour mixture into the sugar/egg mixture until all flour disappears 6. Form dough into 1 inch balls with your hands 7. Roll balls in small amount of sugar 8. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and press fork in "tic tac toe" formation into dough to flatten 9. Bake for 10-12 minutes in a 375 degree oven. 10. Remove cookie sheet from oven with hot mitts 11. Let cookies cool and remove from cookie sheet with spatula. Makes approximately 36 cookies</p>
