Unity in Diversity • Nepal is a multilingual, multicultural and multiethnic country. • There are 123 recorded languages spoken as mother tongue. • These languages fall within four major language family. • Out of them 70 languages have it’s own script. CBS Nepal(2011) • There are 125 ethnic groups in Nepal. • Every ethnic group has it’s own way of presenting their culture and tradition. • Nepal is a birth place of Lord Buddha(The light of Asia). • We have a Wikipedia in Nepali, Nepal Bhasa, Maithili, Sanskrit, Pali, Bhojpuri and Doteli Opportunities • Being a diversify country, Nepal has many opportunities in Wikimedia movements. • Diversity is a powerful source of creativity and development. • It builds friendship and cultural harmony between different communities. • Collaboratively we can do more.
