Negrobov, Peter Manko, Bella Japoshvili, Nataly Snegovaya & Jozef Oboňa Records of the long-legged flies (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) from Azerbaijan and Georgia. – Acta Mus. Siles. Sci. Natur. 69: 67-72, 2020. Abstract: Records of 16 species of the family Dolichopodidae from Azerbaijan and Georgia are given. Four species Campsicnemus armeniacus Negrobov, Manko, Hrivniak & Obona, 2017, Chrysotus pennatus Lichtwardt, 1902, Medetera kowarzi Negrobov, 1974, Rhaphium brevicorne Curtis, 1835 represent new records for Azerbaijan and increase species richness to 90 taxa. The completed checklist of long-legged flies of Georgia is presented. With five new country records, namely: Campsicnemus umbripennis Loew, 1856, Medetera murina Becker, 1917, Medetera truncorum Meigen, 1824, Sybistroma crinipes Stæger, 1842, Sympycnus pulicarius (Fallén, 1823), the checklist covers 71 taxa now. Key words: Diptera, Dolichopodidae, first records, checklist, Azerbaijan Introduction The investigation of the long-legged flies of Azerbaijan and Georgia is still far from finished. So far, 86 species are known from Azerbaijan (see: Negrobov 1971, Negrobov & Shamshev 1984, Grichanov 2004, Negrobov & Rodionova 2004, Negrobov et al. 2007, Grichanov & Tomkovich 2009, Maslova et al. 2011, Negrobov & Maslova 2011, Negrobov et al. 2017a). From Georgia, 65 species are known according to the authors knowledge (see: Negrobov et al. 1988, Chalaya & Negrobov 1989, Negrobov & Onishchenko 1991, Grichanov 2007, Maslova et al. 2008, 2012). Material and methods Dipterans were collected by sweep netting from the vegetation growing along the watercourses and lakes by the members of V4 & Eastern Partnership team (Visegrad Group + Georgia and Azerbaijan - abbreviated as V4 & EP leg.) in the period between September 14 and September 24, 2018. The captured specimens were preserved in 75% ethanol directly in the field. The material is deposited in the collection of the first author Oleg P. Negrobov (Voronezh University and Laboratory of Insect Systematics of Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences) who also identified these species. Information on the species distribution is given only for new country records and follow Grichanov (2007).
