He scored ASU’s first goal and followed that with the Grizzlies’ first goal in both the second and fourth quarters... He also had three ground balls in that game before taking three shots against ninth-ranked Tampa (Fla.) on Mar. 26 (L, 3-15) to finish the week with 10 shots... On the season, Mayes has 32 points, including a WILA-leading 26 goals to go along with six assists. Top Defensive Player: No Nomination Adams State Team Notes: The Grizzlies wrapped up their 4-game spring break trip to Florida last week falling 16-6 at Saint Leo on Tuesday (Mar. 24) and 15-3 at ninth-ranked Tampa on Thursday (Mar. 26)... The Grizzlies have played five straight games away from home, including one neutral-site encounter and will play another five straight away from home after hosting Colorado College this Saturday... The Grizzlies have played the Tigers twice before (2011, 2014) but have not previously hosted them... The Tigers, who hold a 2- 0 lead in the series history, are 7-3 this season but are just 2-3 away from home... The Grizzlies rank ninth in the nation for turnovers per game, committing just 14.50 per contest... Despite being held without a goal for the first time this season against Tampa, Danny Mayes continues to lead the WILA with his 3.25 goal per game average that ranks him sixth nationally... He leads the association with 26 goals this season, which is already tied for sixth most in WILA single-season history... Mayes also ranks 17th in this year’s national statistics with his 4.00 point per game average... Teammate Josh Peterman has scored in each of the Grizzlies’ last five games and how has 53 career markers, good for seventh most in association history... He also has 74 career points to rank 10th... After Saturday’s home game, the Grizzlies head back on the road and will play Lindenwood next Tuesday in St. Charles, Missouri before resuming WILA play next Thursday (Apr. 9) at Rockhurst...
