Held at Maddingley Park last Saturday afternoon through to Sunday morning, teams walked, ran and even stilt walked laps of the oval, raising funds for cancer research. Committee chairperson Gillian Loughman thanked all involved in the event. “A huge thank you to everyone who came along to this year’s event. “It was another successful year that would not have been possible without the support from each and every one of you.” Market stalls, free activities, live entertainment, raffles, prizes, massages (for the weary) all contributed in making the event a community get together and creating a carnival like atmosphere. DjHS had a team in the relay called the Clown Doctors (judged Best Tent), and Gaby’s Army received an award for Best Baton. Foodworks supermarket also had a team in the relay as did Invictus Fitness and many others.
