In her President’s Report, Sonja spoke of the sadness at the loss of Dorothy who played such a major part in village life and was a long-time supporter and committee member of the BCC. Pauline thanked all the committee for their support and hard work over the past year and included in her thanks all the people who freely offer their time and help to the BCC. BCC membership numbers had increased in the Treasurer’s Report. Gerry gave detailed information of income and expenses with extra costs this year for the Hog Roast and a new printer; which Paul Collins had kindly found for a very good price. Dates were set for the coming year: Easter Egg Hunt Monday 1st April Village Fete Saturday 22nd June AGM Thursday 7th November Coffee Morning Saturday 7th December Attending the AGM, Jill Pickford raised awareness of a scheme for villages to adopt their phonebox and use them as safe storage for a defribrillator to be used by anyone in an emergency. If you have any thoughts or know more about this scheme, please let us know. Jackie was thanked for her support now she has decided, no longer being a Badingham resident, to leave the committee; confirming she is more than happy to continue to help at events. If anyone is interested in joining the committee to help organise events, raise funds and support good causes for the benefit of everyone in the village please give Pauline a call on 01728 602542. 5 BADINGHAM COMMUNITY COUNCIL CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING Saturday 1st December 2012 10am to 12 noon Join us for coffee and bacon baps Browse the stalls including BCC’s own MYSTERY TOMBOLA, CAKE STALL and PRIZE DRAW WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL All offers of help, draw prizes and cakes would be very welcome Contact Sonja 01728 638268 6 Calling all bakers All your contributions of cakes, biscuits, sweets and savouries for our cake stall on Saturday 1st December will be gratefully received. We are hoping to make this afternoon a drop-in for all villagers. We already have some regulars from the school bus drop-off as well as part of the Bowls team after their Tuesday practice. It is our aim to make it a place where we can exchange information about what is going on in the village promoting all Badingham events as well as welcoming locals with businesses and items to sell to promote themselves. Its gathering momentum and we would dearly like it to mix and integrate all village groups, so it is really for everyone. The cakes are delicious and the tea is supplied by the pot full so there is no excuse to not hang around and chat! Tanya ~ Enterprise Badingham Made to order ...
