In all, nine DePauw football guides have been ranked in the top five in the country since 1992. 2006 DePauw University Football — 1 2 0 0 6 T i g e r s 2006 DePauw Football Preview New Coach Looks to Continue Winning Tradition The Tigers look forward to the 2006 season with a new head coach and several new faces in the starting lineup, but look to continue the winning ways that have produced 10 straight .500 or better seasons and a 15-4 mark over the last two campaigns. Matt Walker, a 1999 DePauw graduate, was named the head coach during the summer and inherits a program that returns 30 lettermen and nine starters from a team that finished the 2005 season with a 7-2 overall record and a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference co-championship with a 5-0 league mark. The Tigers’ two losses in 2005 came by a total of eight points to a pair of teams that posted a combined 23-3 record. “I’m really excited for the season to begin,” Walker said. “This team can accomplish some big things if we reach our potential.” Junior running back Jeremiah Marks is a two-time first team all-SCAC selection and ranks eighth in DePauw history with 1,803 rush- OFFENSE ing yards.
