For almost 40 years he worked tirelessly to try to bring about justice, cooperation and peace between the two peoples. His example can help us persevere in our struggle to end the occupation and bring peace to Israel and Palestine. Rabbi Burt Jacobson is the Founding Rabbi of Kehilla Community Synagogue. (South Hall) Balancing Compassion and Justice How do we balance justice and compassion? A challenging question, whether in the realm of family, crime, or international conflict. Judaism holds that our world needs both qualities, so we will explore teachings that expand our understanding of each, and the relationship between them. Rabbi Bridget Wynne directs Jewish Gateways, an open and inclusive community based in the East Bay in which each individual and family can pursue a meaningful Jewish path.
