He will also consider the bitter legacy of the home front experience for the Weimar Republic and, ultimately, Hitler’s Third Reich. Dr. Scott Stephenson served 25 years Join us Sept. 20 for this 12th as an Army officer, retiring in 2001. He has a bachelor’s degree from the lecture in the series. United States Military Academy, a master’s in history from Syracuse University, and a doctorate in history from the University of Kansas. His book, The Final Battle: Soldiers of the Western Front and the German Revolution of 1918, won the 2010 Presented by the Tomlinson Prize for Best Book in Department of Military History, English on World War I. He currently U.S. Army Command and General Staff College teaches military history at the U.S. with support provided by the Army Command and General Staff CGSC Foundation, Inc.
