Well, the Mel Brooks’ film is considered a cult classic. The stage version… not so much. Not yet. But we hope you have as much fun as the cast had putting it together for you. WALKER One Theatre at a Time www.aact.org FROM THE DIRECTOR It was only natural after all the fun we had with Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” a few summers back that ACT would turn again to a new Mel Brooks’ musical. Back in 1974, and once again teamed up with Gene Wilder, Brooks and Wilder created a marvelous parody of all those black and white monster films from Universal Pictures from the 1930s.
