Bishop Malesic sent out a letter a few weeks ago in regard to the pandemic. He points out how we have all been “stretched beyond imagination and frustrated by the limitations of the past year.” He continues to say, “God gave us what we needed, especially in the most di=cult times. God remains a steadfast help in time of need.” But then he reminds us that we are not quite done yet. He states: “Even though we are beginning to get this pandemic under control, the virus still remains, and we all need to remain vigilant until that time when masks Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, are no longer necessary and appropriate social distancing is no longer and let perpetual light shine upon expected. Amen health is compromised in any way, is of extreme importance and these ordinary means of protecting life have proven to be helpful. Remember Julia Sbrocco that patience is like all the virtues. It comes with practice. And, if these limitations and temporary requirements were a great burden to us, they were also the sufferings that we were able to endure and offer up for the salvation of souls, our own included.” Good thoughts from our bishop. If you lack patience, say this prayer: Dear God, give me patience, and give it to me now! You might make God laugh. This prayer always make me laugh. Fr.
