On 15 November 2012, the Governor in Council approved the amending of the Sustainable Planning Regulation 2009. On 16 November 2012 the subordinate legislation Sustainable Planning Amendment Regulation (No. 7) 2012 was notified in the Queensland Government Gazette and, Statutory Guideline 02/12 Making and amending local planning instruments became effective. The above actions have repealed Statutory Guideline 01/12 Making and amending local planning instruments dated 16 January 2012. This project was declared a significant project, for which an environmental impact statement is required, pursuant to section 26(1)(a) of the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 in the Queensland Government Gazette dated 8 December 2006.
