Every spring, we shift our focus from snow and ice removal to the construction and repair of our roadways. Improvement of the highway network is a positive and necessary responsibility. By improving traffic flow, ODOT provides a smooth, safe and efficient ride for travel and commerce in the region. The 2010 Construction Guide includes major construction projects in the District 12, three-county area. Projects to which ODOT has contributed money but are administered by local agencies are listed at the back of the book. Projects with funding by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds are marked with an orange construction sign. As with every construction season, we ask motorists to use caution when traveling through work zones. By obeying posted speed limits and exercising caution, motorists can do their part to keep both our construction employees and fellow motorists safe.
