Authority: Revenue and Taxation Code Section 1622 Membership: A person shall not be eligible for appointment unless he has a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the State of California as one of the following: certified public accountant or public accountant, licensed real estate broker, attorney, property appraiser accredited by a nationally recognized professional organization, or is a person possessed of competent knowledge of property appraisal and taxation. Term: 3 years; maximum 12 years Duties: To increase after giving notice, or to lower upon application, individual assessments in order to equalize the local tax assessment roll.
