Manufactured by Thin client computing is the modern-day version of mainframe computing. Applications and data are hosted on a central server. This centralized hosting of data and applications provides greater efficiency (with everyone using the same data) and security with virus protection and upgrades handled on the central server. Thin client computing permits local printing, audio and serial device support.
