You can hardly browse the Internet without seeing this term and other positive descriptions about our great city. National publications and our local media are singing the same tune: Buffalo is back in business and poised to stay there. This is a gleaming, hopeful time, with the waterfront, downtown, commercial and industrial areas, recreational havens, and neighborhoods reborn, repurposed, and growing. It rings true that Buffalo is rising, in no small part, because of its young people. And because of the conviction of so many in our community that access to education is an essential building block for a true Renaissance. Educational opportunities lead to more opportunities for professional success, and that translates into safer neighborhoods and stronger regional economies. Buffalo Prep has shared in, and contributed to, the excitement and growth being experienced. Our 25th Anniversary Initiative and Prep for Tomorrow capital campaign were endorsed by the community and successful. Since our founding, thousands of talented students from underserved and marginalized populations have received the academic opportunity and enrichment from Buffalo Prep and its partner schools that prepared them for high school, college, and beyond. We have nurtured their inherent talents and potential with the tools for achievement and success which creates an equipped workforce and engaged community participants. There are remarkable Buffalo Prep alumni on our board of directors, on our staff and faculty, and in roles across every sector of our resurging city and region. While there are many success stories, there is still much work to be done. It is an honor to do this work and Buffalo Prep could not have the impact that it does without your support in the many ways that you show it. Thank you for being dynamic and dedicated partners in Buffalo Prep’s important mission and advocates for these deserving scholars. An investment and belief in our children is an investment and belief in our collective future.
