The hymn “Praise Ye, Praise Ye the Lord” is based on Psalm 148 and was set to music by Leonard Cooper Blanton, who graduated from Columbia in 1951 and named this tune for the seminary. The language was revised by C. Benton Kline in 1987. “The 23rd Psalm” is adapted from Psalm 23 and set to music by Bobby McFerrin. He dedicated this hymn to his mother.
