Matta recorded a win and two saves against the Seahawks and finished the week with 0.00 ERA in four appearances covering 5.2 innings. He allowed just two May 24-26 hits and struck out three batters. In the Mount’s doubleheader sweep on Saturday, Matta earned the win in game at New Britain Rock Cats Stadium, New Britain, CT one, pitching 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 6-5, 10-inning victory. He came back to post his third save of the Four team, double-elimination tournament year in game two, working his way out of a two-out bases-loaded jam in the seventh. On the year, the Woodbridge, VA native is 2-2 with three saves and a 1.42 ERA.
