Raksha Mantri Presides over the 9th Convocation of DIAT he 9th Convocation of Defence Institute of Advanced TTechnology (Deemed University), Girinagar, Pune was held on, May 28, 2017. Shri Arun Jaitley, Raksha Mantri & Chancellor, DIAT presided over the ceremony and delivered the Convocation address. Dr S Christopher, Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman, Governing Council, DIAT graced the occasion. Dr Surendra Pal, Vice Chancellor, DIAT, welcomed Shri Arun Jaitley Raksha Mantri, Dr S Christopher, Chairman DIAT Governing Council and Secretary, Dept. of Defence R&D, Dr G Satheesh Reddy, SA to RM, Shri Baba N Kalyani and other distinguished guests, graduating students and their parents during the ceremony. A total of 134 graduating students including 18 PhDs, three Master of Science by Research and 113 M Tech students were conferred degrees.
