Richard Mulcahy Minutes: 1. Darren Millar AM opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. 2. Darren provided updates on actions from the previous meeting on chaplaincy and other issues of interest to the group 3. Bishop Gregory was introduced and spoke on the topic of ‘Transgender Issues: Faith Perspectives’ for 20 minutes 4. A discussion time was held, chaired by Darren 5. The following actions were agreed by the group: a) To write to the First Minister, asking him to make sure that the Faith Communities Forum can have some dialogue on this matter going forward. b) To write to the Cabinet Secretary for Education to ask her how she is going to ensure that there is proper engagement on sex and relationships education, including issues around gender identity, in relation to the curriculum, and that faith communities will be able to feed into those discussions. c) For the Chair to meet with Stonewall to feedback on the Cross-Party Group on Faith’s consideration of the topic. 6.
