Ms Nicole Reavell provided secretarial assistance. Dr Angela Hassiotis (Reader, UCL & Consultant Psychiatrist) co-ordinated the process with me. It includes a basic reading list which provides a brief introduction to the area of mental health in people with intellectual disabilities and an advanced reading list which is organised under 15 separate subject areas. There is considerable overlap between some of these subject areas and you may have to look at related headings for a full list of the relevant material. The references are arranged in chronological order with the most recent coming first. This list is by no means comprehensive and it would be best to consider this very much as a work in progress. I will of course be delighted to receive any suggestions from you on [email protected] about any other references that can be added to this list.
