Reimagining Singapore's Built Environment Live Webinar

Reimagining Singapore's Built Environment Live Webinar 16 November 2020 (Monday) | 10.30am to 12.15pm (Singapore Time) [Complimentary Webinar] In view of the need to accelerate digitalisation within the Built Environment (BE) sector in the new normal and to address the digitalization concerns faced by developers, the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) and KPMG in Singapore are pleased to invite you to a virtual webinar on “Reimagining Singapore’s Built Environment”. At the same time, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between REDAS and KPMG in Singapore will be signed to develop a thought leadership publication on the subject. This collaboration intends to identify and examine gaps in digital adoption and address a wide gamut of ancillary issues with data obtained from an industry-level survey. The collaboration with KPMG on the Gaps Analysis Survey will contribute useful and valuable inputs to support the development of the REDAS Developer-Centric Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) Dashboard. The REDAS IDD dashboard when successfully developed and made available, it is hoped that this will facilitate on-boarding by developers especially the mid-sized and smaller developers and catalyse wider adoption of collaborative IDD with single source of truth. Separately, REDAS will be working with the Building & Construction Authority (BCA) to publish an IDD implementation guide to establish a best practice approach to assist developers to drive IDD adoption. Guest-of-Honour, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of National Development, Mr Tan Kiat How, will preside over the MOU signing ceremony and will share on how the Government has partnered the industry to drive digitalisation in the BE sector. This will be followed by the sharing of insights from a panel of industry experts on how the building and construction industry can be transformed through digitalisation and technology. This webinar is complimentary and early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment. Please indicate your availability to attend this webinar by clicking here. About the publication In view of the need to accelerate digitalisation within the Built Environment (BE) sector, KPMG in Singapore and REDAS are collaborating to study the challenges in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) adoption in the industry. The publication aims to identify areas where the real estate sector can digitalise in order to be ready for a post-COVID-19 economy. About REDAS initiatives The Developer-Centric IDD Dashboard will potentially alert developers to focus on critical areas and zoom in to address these concerns to make timely and informed decisions. This will greatly benefit developers’ operations and at the same time promote more collaborative use of IDD with a single source of truth across the whole value chain. This proof of concept Developer-Centric IDD Dashboard project when successfully developed and piloted will be made available to all developers at affordable cost.
