Subsequently, the mining plan was approved by the Dy. Director, Mines & Geology, Kadapa through the letter no. 204 / MP-YGL / 2017 DT 12-02- 2018. PROFILE OF THE PROJECT PROPONENT The Applicant of this QL area is having experience to undertake the mining. However the quarrying operations will be undertaken under the supervision of well experienced Mining Engineer. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSEDMININGACTIVITY SIZE OF THE PROJECT The mining lease area of8.00Ha.is located in Govt. land. Under ground mining is followed and it has been proposed to produce approximately Barytes-7881Tonns/annum. The nearest habitation is Medipentla located at a distance of 1.5km due South from lease area. M/s Sree Mining & Minerals, Mg. Partner: Sri. D. Vijaya Kumar Reddy, has filed an application for QL for Barytes in Sy.No.972/2 (Old Sy.No.721/4) of Meedipentla Village, Vemula Mandal, Y.S.R. Vijaya Kumar Reddy for a period of 20 years subject to submission of Approved Mining Plan within a period of 6 months from the date of issue of the notice under Rule 12 (5) (c) of APMMC Rules, 1966 along with consent for Establishment from A.P. Pollutions Control Board and Environmental Clearance from Ministry of Environment & Forests as per Environmental Impact Assessment Notification through S.O.1553, dated 14-09-2006 by Director of Mines & Geology, Ibrahimpatnam, vide Notice No 17275/R5-2/2017, dated 30-10-2017. Mining Plan approval was approved by Deputy Director of Mines & Geology, Kadapa. Employment Generation Proposed mining is Underground manual method and this project operation will provide livelihood to the 42 workers. The applied area is located on South eastern flank of hill range trending northwest-southeast. The general gradient observed in the area is towards SE. The highest & lowest elevation in the applied area is 505m & 420m from the Assumed benchmark of 505m & the Assumed bench mark is shown in Plate No.3.
