Whereas low fantasy takes place on Earth (or an alternate/older version of earth like Hyperborea) but with fantastic elements. However, nowadays high fantasy vs. low fantasy is usually regarded as how much magic a setting has, though that's technically a separate axis. Those six epic high fantasy novels tell two complete stories, each different in scope. The novellas add some interest and give a nice twist on some prior events. Be careful after that.
