Further, the location of the proposed project is outside the notified industrial estate and water consumption will be more than 25 KL/Day and proposed unit is also not fall into small unit criteria described Page No 4 Prefeasibility Report M/s. SHIV KRISHNA BIOGEN LLP Plot No 7, Survey no .407/15 Paiki, Village-Hadmatiya.Tal-Tankara, Dist-Morbi, Gujarat. in EIA notification 25th June 2014. Hence, the project proponent has to obtain the EC from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, New Delhi. India with its large talented manpower, cost effective chemical synthesis, legal & financial framework is poised to become sourcing destination of Bulk drug Intermediates & Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and intermediates to the global market. The pharmaceutical industry in India ranks third in the world in terms of volume and contributes 10% to the global pharmaceutical production. According to the Department of Pharmaceuticals, the Indian pharmaceutical industry is pegged at Rs 810 bn, which includes domestic sales and exports. According to the Department of Pharmaceuticals, the sector employs about 340,000 persons and an estimated 400,000 doctors and 300,000 chemists are serving its 1 bn-plus market. In line with the Market Demand, M/S. Shiv Krishna Biogen LLP intent to manufacture API Intermediates with capacity-225.525 MT/Month at above stated proposed site 2.4 Demand - Supply Gap Based on the informal survey of the market with current customers and various traders, it is found that there is a huge potential for the range of the products currently being manufactured and the proposed new products as mentioned in the product list. 2.5 Imported vs. Indigenous Production The products will be price-competitive while quality will be of international standards, which will have acceptability in the export as well as domestic market. 2.6 Export Possibility The unit will explore the possibilities of export the product. 2.7 Employment Generation due to the Project Proposed project will provide direct employment to 05 skilled and 10 unskilled workers from the local area.
