Stainless steel and aluminum is received in coils (sheet and wire) which are used within the co- extrusion or extrusion departments. The metal is uncoiled and roll-formed (sheet metal only), washed and rinsed and dried. An adhesive and/or promoter is then applied, and the metal is sent through a curing oven. After curing, rubber or PVC is extruded to create the profile. Two (2) flock booths are also used to apply flock to extruded parts. After extrusion and flocking (where applicable), parts are then cooled and cut to length. Extruded parts are then sent to assembly where the extrusions are bent, pierced, punched etc., as required. Received components, foam tapes or protective tapes are also added to the extrusions during the assembly process as required. All final parts are then inspected and shipped off-Site. CET South’s Environmental Management System (EMS) has been certified to the ISO14001 standard since July 21, 2001, and recertified on September 10, 2010. CET South is actively engaged in seeking environmentally sustainable opportunities, such as: APQP includes alternative recycled material use in the product Substitute TPV for EPDM where possible.
