Eight Rotary clubs in the Manabi area of Ecuador are affected the most by the devastation. The District 4400 Governor, Manuel Nieto, is requesting assistance in providing drinking water, canned tuna, and insect repellent to victims as part of the immediate emergency relief plan. Canned tuna is available immediately for purchase since it is produced and distributed in Manabi. After the emergency water is supplied, there is a plan to install six purifying water plants in the area of Manabi to lower the costs of drinkable water. If you want to contribute, make checks payable to Rotary District 5220 Disaster Relief Corp, then mail them c/o District Treasurer Don Murphy, 4510 Sun West Drive, Salida, CA, 95368-8007. Some of these activities had been supported through the Stockton Rotary Endowment.
