Qatdulai Ia This *111 acknowledge receipt of your letter, dated 6 May 1948, o requesting information oanoerning the revision of the recognition date of the 5th fempenga Regiment (HID), East Central Luzon Guerrilla s Area. 8- The reoordo of this headquarters indicate that the Penpenga Hlli- o tary District, ECDGA, was reoognized by tho Commanding General Sixth a Army and the Oeamanding General, A?HC with an effective dote of recog¬ nition of 1 February 1945 for some elements thereof and was subsequent¬ ly extended revision of initial recognition date for some olemonts to 15 May 1942 by letter, Headquarters, APSESLAC, dated 10 December 1946. A protreoted reinvestigation revealed that the roviaion of the recognition date mes not justified. As a result, the revised recog¬ nition dote of ell members of the PHD, ECIGA, established by the letter a from this headquarters, dated 10 Deoanber 1946, was revoked on 2 April w 1948. fc It is desired to inf you that the 5th Lanpenge Regiment was included among those elements effooted by the letter of 2 April 1948.
