Cartiere's social practice includes her working with various Richmond communities to produce handmade seed paper (from recycled office paper) that is then laser cut into 10,000 "bees" that form the Gallery installation. In early December the public will be invited to return to the Gallery to take some of the bees away to plant in their own gardens – to create new bee friendly habitats while facilitating the nest to "swarm" out of the gallery.
