RICHARD A. VENTRONE, JR., AIA, NCARB PROFILE Starting his career in Washington, DC, working for the Historic American Building Survey (HABS), a division of the National Park Service dedicated to documenting Americaʹs historic architecture, Mr. Ventrone returned to his native Rhode Island in 1994 to develop a specialty in historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects as well as transportation architecture, including the restoration of four historic Rhode Island lighthouses. After working for more than a decade for the largest firm in the state, Mr. Ventrone started his own practice in 2009, which operated for ten years as a full‐time business. In June 2019, Ventrone joined the Preservation Society of Newport County (PSNC) as their full‐time preservation architect.
