This project consumed huge amount of time, effort, and dedication, and would not have been possible without the help and support of many individuals, committees, and organizers. I extend my sincere thanks to all of them. To my children, whose genuine concern was translated into a thousand questions. Each taking turns with the “hows” and “whys” of the event, but nonetheless believing in a father’s efforts that such feat is attainable through hardwork, patience, and determination. To the Local Government Unit of Bislig City, and the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur, with the joint coordination of the executive and legislative branches, their incomparable efforts in providing sustainable development to the City through the promotion of organic agriculture development, is second to none. I am also deeply indebted to IFOAM Asia, spearheaded by Dr. Zhou Zejiang and Ms. Jennifer Chang, for their collaborative efforts in the development, guidance, and constant supervision, from preparation to event culmination of the 3rd OAC, and for believing and trusting that the City can pull this through. An ocean of thanks to all the IFOAM Asia’s 3rd OAC committees, department heads, and all the employees of LGU-Bislig, who exceeded the expectations of delegates and guests by giving their best services and truly fulfilling their duties and responsibilities. To the Multi-Sectoral Governance Coalition (MSGC), devoted partner of the LGU in the Performance Governance System (PGS), through which with truthful assessment, the city was able to level up its implementation of organic farming, your contribution has been very inspiring. To the Bisliganons, who showed genuine hospitality to the visitors, and who gave their full cooperation and support to organic farming, their efforts made this success even more meaningful. Even my detractors contributed by constantly posing a challenge that consquently fed my desire to succeed.
