Prof Quddus Javaid and Prof Syed M Ahsan attended the meeting as experts of Urdu and Islamic studies respectively. c) Admission process was started and the admission in M A Urdu and Islamic Studies was completed in July 2017 d) Classes of 1st batch of MA Urdu and Islamic Studies were commenced in August 2017. e) Organized All India Mushaira in collaboration with the Department of Arabic on December 14, 2017. f) Ph. D Programmes in Urdu and Islamic Studies were introduced and 1st batch was admitted in 2018. g) Organized one Day state level Seminar in Urdu and Arabic in collaboration with the Department of Arabic on the theme: Arabi aur Urdu Afsana: Funn aur Techneek on April 25, 2018. h) Started Chiragh Hasan Hasrat Memorial Lecture, October 2018. Janab Ateeq Anzar (Doha Qatar) deleivered the 1st Chiragh Hasan Hasrat Memorial lecture on the themes: Fanne Shairi: Mabaadiyat o Romoozo Nakat on October 3, 2018.
