Thank you for attending the 2019 New Mexico Classical Guitar Festival. Your support is greatly appreciated! We are in the 10th year of the New Mexico Classical Guitar Festival. We are proud to have presented outstanding artists such as Scott Tennant, Roland Dyens, Marcin Dylla, Ben- jamin Verdery, Andrew York and many more at the festival over the past few years. Our event has its roots in the Summer Guitar Workshop which was lead by Pat Brothwell. She did an outstanding job with the workshop for many years. Early festivals featured such fine gui- tarists as Jonathan Leathwood, Masakazu Ito and Michael Chapdelaine. Guitar New Mexico has grown and is excited to present programs that reach many in our community: the Guitar New Mexico Youth Ensemble, Guitar Chamber Players, Artist in Residence program, GFA competi- tion winner concert, outreach performances in schools, libraries, senior care locations. We hope to reach young and old, amateur and professional, student and teacher through our many programs. I am honored to be a member of such a generous and supportive community. Without the assistance of such charitable donations, we could not have made the accomplish- ments we have sought to make. Many thanks to NM Arts, Music Guild of New Mexico, Kinder- Guitar New Mexico, Urban Enhancement Trust Fund, John and Diane Batty, Jay Hertz and Hel- en Grevey and many more for their generous donations and support of Guitar New Mexico. Finally, I would like to thank our outstanding board of directors. It is with their tireless efforts that we are able to achieve success for our mission. And I would like to welcome Martin Ly to our board. Martin first attended our festival as a college student. We are excited to have him share his many talents with Guitar New Mexico. Our mission is ” Fostering the appreciation of the classical guitar in Albuquerque and beyond”. Thank you for helping us on this path. We look forward to continue to provide outstanding pro- grams to our community. And please join us! If you are an adult guitarist, consider joining the Guitar Chamber Players. Student guitarists are welcome to be part of the Guitar New Mexico Youth Ensemble. Music educators should consider participating in our artist in residence pro- gram. Thank you again for your support and helping us in making Guitar New Mexico thrive.
