A Musical Fable of Broadway August 30 & 31

VICTORYVICTORY PRODUCTIONS PRODUCTIONS PRESENTSPRESENTS A Musical Fable of Broadway Based on a Story and Characters of DAMON RUNYON August 30 & 31 ~ September 1 & 2 July 14 & 15 ~ July 23 & 24 www.TheVillagesEntertainment.com NOTE FROM DIRECTOR Welcome to The Legends of Broadway Series! Our goal at Victory Productions is to create innovative and exciting productions of some the greatest musicals of all time, especially for you, our beloved Villages audience. We began this series with the classic South Pacific, and now bring you one of the classiest, sassiest, and brassiest of them all - Frank Loesser’s love letter to Broadway GUYS AND DOLLS. Based on the stories of Damon Runyon, GUYS AND DOLLS tells two love stories: the lopsided romance of gambler Sky Masterson and missionary Sister Sarah Brown, and the long-suffering nightclub chanteuse Miss Adelaide’s attempts to finally marry her fiancé of 14 years, the lovable but commitment-phobic Nathan Detroit. Surrounding them are the funniest, most colorful assortment of gamblers, gangsters, showgirls, and Broadway lowlifes you are likely to see. GUYS AND DOLLS is one of the most popular and often revived musicals of all time, and for good reason. Its combination of character, wit, and heart, along with a score that features Luck Be a Lady, Adelaide’s Lament, I’ve Never Been in Love Before, and Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat have earned it a place as a Broadway Legend. Thanks for being part of our audience - we hope to bring you more of your favorite shows in the time to come, with some of the most talented performers you’ll ever see. Enjoy the show!
