Last year more than 12 million people visited this festival. This year the main theme of the festival is “Theatre”. Moscow will be decorated with more than 1740 constructions, including a magic forest on Manezhnaya Square, especially designed Christ- mas trees on Kuznetsky Most, a light tunnel on Tverskoy Boulevard, a theatre scene in the Nut- cracker style in front of Bolshoi Theatre and many others. Exciting performances, fun master classes, original artworks, delicious food and winter holiday magic await you at festival venues around Moscow from December 22 till January 14. Don’t miss it! Pionerskaya Square According to a long-established tradition, the biggest Christmas market in Saint Petersburg is set on the Pioneer Square. It is a colorful cultural and entertainment event with a lot of contests and gifts. Here you can learn about the traditions of celebrating the New Year in other countries, listen to good music and taste national dishes.
