The following is a record of the portraits, busts, statues, bas-reliefs and tablets, that have been placed in or about the State House, Boston, in honor of Governors and others, prominent in Plymouth and Massachusetts history, together with those whose names are enrolled in the frescoes and stained glass windows; also the mural paintings. The names of all the Governors, from the settlement of Plymouth Colony and Massachusetts Bay Colony, through the State Constitution to the present, also the Presidents of the Senate and Speakers of the House of Representatives, from 1780 to the present, are given, with an asterisk to signify the portraits not yet in the collection.
