The House met at 14:01. 2. House Chairperson Ms M G Boroto took the Chair and requested members to observe a moment of silence for prayer or meditation. 3. FIRST ORDER [14:03] Consideration of Request for Approval by Parliament of The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention No 190 concerning the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work in terms of section 231(2) of Constitution, 1996 (Report of Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour, see Announcements, Tablings and Committee Reports, 8 July 2021, p 10). Ms M L Dunjwa, as Chairperson of the Committee, introduced the Report. There was no debate. Declarations of vote made on behalf of the Democratic Alliance, Economic Freedom Fighters, Inkatha Freedom Party, Freedom Front Plus, African Christian Democratic Party, Congress of the People and African National Congress. The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention No 190 concerning the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work accordingly approved. 4. SECOND ORDER [14:32] MINUTES: NATIONAL ASSEMBLY NO 26 – 2021 127 [Wednesday, 1 September 2021 Consideration of Report of Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture on Visit to Performing Arts Centre of Free State; National Arts Council; National Film and Video Foundation; ODI Stadium and HM Pitjie Stadium, 6-9 April 2021 (Announcements, Tablings and Committee Reports, 22 April 2021, p 22). Ms B N Dlulane, as Chairperson of the Committee, introduced the Report. There was no debate. The Chief Whip of the Majority Party moved: That the Report be adopted. Declarations of vote made on behalf of the Democratic Alliance, Economic Freedom Fighters, Inkatha Freedom Party, African Christian Democratic Party, Freedom Front Plus, Congress of the People, Al’ Jama- ah and African National Congress. Motion agreed to (Economic Freedom Fighters dissenting). Report accordingly adopted. 5. THIRD ORDER [15:09] Consideration of Report of Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry on Department of Trade, Industry and Competition’s second and third quarter financial and non-financial performance for 2020/21 financial year (Announcements, Tablings and Committee Reports, 22 April 2021, p 7). Mr D M Nkosi, as Chairperson of the Committee, introduced the Report. There was no debate. The Chief Whip of the Majority Party moved: That the Report be adopted. Declarations of vote made on behalf of the Democratic Alliance, Economic Freedom Fighters, Inkatha Freedom Party, Freedom Front Plus, African Christian Democratic Party, Congress of the People, Al’ Jama-ah and African National Congress. Motion agreed to (Economic Freedom Fighters and Freedom Front Plus dissenting). Report accordingly adopted. 6. FOURTH ORDER [15:42] Consideration of Report of Portfolio Committee on Public Works on A petition calling on the Assembly to investigate a policy review that will look into developing a consistent system across municipalities, provincial governments and national government on how the MINUTES: NATIONAL ASSEMBLY NO 26 – 2021 Wednesday, 1 September 2021] 128 Extended Public Works Program (EPWP) employs job seekers (submitted by Mr S N August, MP) (Announcements, Tablings and Committee Reports, 19 March 2021, p 5). Ms N Ntobongwana, as Chairperson of the Committee, introduced the Report. There was no debate. The Chief Whip of the Majority Party moved: That the Report be adopted. Declarations of vote made on behalf of the Democratic Alliance, Economic Freedom Fighters, Inkatha Freedom Party, Freedom Front Plus, African Christian Democratic Party, Good, National Freedom Party and African National Congress. Motion agreed to (Economic Freedom Fighters, Freedom Front Plus and National Freedom Party dissenting). Report accordingly adopted. 7. The House adjourned at 16:16.
