I hope that exhibiting companies find a great many partners and clients, and that participants of the business programme – round tables and discussion platforms – find solutions and offers that could enable working with the Administration of the Krasnodar region and municipalities to achieve high performance in the economy and the building and architecture industry.” Yuri Nikolaevich Gritsenko www.yugbuild.com 1-4 March 2016 POST SHOW REPORT MAIN EVENTS Architectural and town building conference: Aspects of architectural planning in historical city centres On 1 March, the architectural and town building conference Aspects of architectural planning in historical city centres brought together more than 140 industry professionals. Honoured guests and speakers included Yuri Rysin, Chief Architect of the Krasnodar Region; Igor Mazurok, Chief Architect of Krasnodar City; Vladimir Malyuk, Chair of the Board of the Krasnodar Regional Organisation of the Union of Architects of Russia; Yuri Vissarionov, Professor at МААМ; Yuri Vissarionov, Head of the creative workshop PTAM Vissarionov; Ilya Zalivukhin, Head of architectural and town planning company Yauzaproyekt; and Alexey Goryainov, Head of Arch Group. Leading architects and planners from Crimea also took part in the discussions. The conference participants discussed aspects of planning town building programmes taking into account heritage sites and historical city centres. A lot of time was given to developing the current master plan for Krasnodar, which should be approved in July 2016. Yuri Rysin, Chief Architect of the Krasnodar Region, proposed to include Ilya Zalivukhin in the working group to develop the master plan, as well as to focus on organising conferences on anti-crisis measures in architecture and town planning. Discussion panel: Complex urban development: how to find a balance between the interests of real-estate developers and residents On 1 March, issues of uniting the efforts of Krasnodar’s developers were addressed at the discussion panel Complex urban development: how to find a balance between the interests of real-estate developers and residents. At the event, the authorities from Krasnodar City and the Krasnodar region reported that all new development projects in the region should, from now on, be based on integrated reclamation of land. Such an approach requires contractors to fully landscape the area and build social infrastructure. According to Vice Governor Yuri Gritsenko, the pace of construction has been outpacing the city budget for decades. By coming together to create joint infrastructure and planning projects, developers will lose less land and can contribute to the high-quality development of the city. www.yugbuild.com 1-4 March 2016 POST SHOW REPORT International town planning conference: Architectural heritage: the past and the present The topic of preserving architectural heritage sites continued on 2 March at the international town planning conference Architectural heritage: the past and the present, organised by the Deparment of Architecture and Town Building of the Krasnodar Region, KNAUF and KrasnodarEXPO. The Governor’s visit On 2 March, Veniamin Kondratyev, the Governor of the Krasnodar Region, attended YugBuild. The meeting was attended by Vice Governor Yuri Gritsenko; Yuri Rysin, Director of the Department of Architecture and Town Building of the Krasnodar Region; and Viktor Churilov, Vice President, Russian Architects Union.
