While on the steamer coming out, Mrs. Donahue was taken ill, and on arrival at New York had to be taken in a conveyance to the Star Hotel and medical assistance sent for. We are pleased to say she is improving, but will be staying at the Star Hotel until she is able to travel. ======================================================================== The Cornishman, 14 December 1911 (Penzance, Cornwall) CORNISH FOLK IN NEW YORK. The following Cornish guests recently stayed at the Star Hotel, New York: — Mr. A. Richards, Mr. Joe Martin, and Mr. Jim Smale, having spent four years in Ouray, Colo., have returned to their homes, St. Dominic, Cornwall, with the intention of staying the winter. Mr. Yelland and Mr. Burt, after spending three years in Michigan, have gone on a visit to their homes, St. Austell. Mr. Cole, after a year in Lead City, Lawrence County, has gone to Summercourt, Cornwall, for the winter. CORNISH FOLK IN NEW YORK – 1911-1913 Mr. William Warren, after six years in various parts of the union, has gone to his home, St. Just, Cornwall, for three months. Mr. H. Polmear, after six years in Lake Superior, has gone to Port Isaac, North Cornwall. Mrs. James, after 17 years in Butte City, has returned to her native home, St. Just, Cornwall, for the winter.
