I didn’t cry until I told my mum and then we both started crying. I was at home when I found out so I had my dinner and then went straight round to my mum’s. I’m terrible at keeping secrets so I had to tell her straight away. How did Kean react? I think we were both in a bit of a shock. We were just looking at each other like, oh my God! I don’t think either of us knew how to react, there was just a sense of total disbelief. I think that’s why I went to my mum’s because I needed a bit of time to process what was actually happening. Was the pregnancy planned? Yes, but we actually thought it would take a lot longer than it did. Kean and I have always wanted children and we’ve seen how hard it was for some of our friends to conceive so we decided to let nature take its course. Every day I think about how lucky I am that it happened so quickly, it’s not something I’m taking for granted. ‘I’VEALWAYS WANTEDTOBE AMUMBUTI’VE NEVERBEEN ABLETOIMAGINE MYSELFWITHKIDS’ How are you feeling about being a mum? I think it’s going to make me really soft, I’m already so emotional! I’ve been playing songs to the bump and sometimes I sit and cry about how much I love my baby! I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited. I have a lot of godchildren and Kean’s sisters have children so that’s the closest thing I have to being a mum at the moment. I love spending time with them and they give me so much love, I can’t wait to have a child I don’t have to give back!
