Box 230 Oxford, OH 45056-0230 Dear Central Office, Executive Committee, and Board ofDirectors, I am writing to you to recommend the installation of the West Virginia University colony as a chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. I have had several conversations with Kris White, the president of the colony, and have had the opportunity to discuss the fraternity and the operations of the colony with him. He sent me a letter of the chapters intent to petition for initiation as well as a calendar of activities for the semester. I called Kris to make a few inquires and suggestions and he seemed very well informed as well as receptive to recommendations. I also recommended that the colony send a representative to the Pittsburgh Area Conference, which was held the last weekend in January. The purpose of this suggestion was two fold. I wanted to personally meet with someone from the chapter to make an assessment and I also wanted the colony to experience meeting with brothers from other chapters. I felt that they may gain valuable insight into what would be expected of them as a chapter. The colony sent three representatives to the conference. They participated in all of the seminars and gained new information as well as sharing their unique perspective with the chapters in attendance. I feel that they have the enthusiasm and dedication that it takes to succeed as a chapter, and hope that you will confirm their intent. Fraternally, Dennis P. Yurochko "- Department of Marketing ^^ West Virginia University College of Business and Economics Delta Sigma Pi Board of Directors February 3, 1995 The Central Office 330 South Campus Avenue P.O. Box 230 Oxford, OH 45056-0230 Dear Directors: I had the opportuinity a few years ago while I was the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University to help initiate what was then the B & E Club. At that time the purpose of the club was twofold. First, it would be a coed cross discipline professional business student group. Second, a major focus would be on involving both business and pre-business majors. I recently returned to the faculty. As a faculty member I have worked with the club and have agreed to serve as one of the club's advisors. I am very pleased to see how the club has evolved. It is now time for the club to grow even further. As a member of Delta Sigma Pi, I am extremely supportive of the fact that the students are interested in becoming a full member in Delta Sigma Pi. As it was for me, I believe acquiring full membership in Delta Sigma Pi will be an excellent opportunity for the students.
