The Beach Boys first hit, "Surfin'" (1961) came from his pen as he went on to write other classic Beach Boys’ hits; Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around," "California Girls," "Help Me Rhonda," and Grammy nominated "Good Vibrations."
