This exquisite one-hour musical service which features the most beautiful selections from the Rosh Hashanah, yom Kippur and Selichot liturgy. Our rabbis will join with Cantor Sebo and The Temple’s High Holy day Choir, under the direction of Bill Toler, to present this inspiring musical service. A New Year -ACrea tive Sukkah! Building the Sukkah, Creating Art, and Celebrating our Temple Community The Temple is excited to present an event-packed weekend celebrating Sukkot with Artists-in-Residence, Isaac Brynjegard-Bialik, and his wife, Rabbi Shawna Brynjegard-Bialik Beginning on Friday, October 11, we will prepare for Sukkot with a weekend of activities for all ages. The new exhibit, titled Men of Steel and Women of Valor: Comic Book Papercuts by Isaac Brynjegard- Bialik , will be on display starting in September in the Hartzmark Center. Isaac cuts up comic books and reassembles them into papercuts that explore the stories of the Jewish people, connecting popular culture with sacred texts. Isaac and Rabbi Shawna will lead a number of art projects throughout the weekend. A highlight of the celebration will be “Sukkah Jam 2019” on Saturday evening hosted by The Temple Arts Program with live music, food, and a group art project, led by Isaac, to display in the sukkah. Isaac and Rabbi Shawna will also create projects with Shabbaton families and students during Sunday Learning. SEE PAGE 11 FOR DETAILS ABOUT THE WEEKEND!
