Deponent Verbs: a deponent verb has passive endings but active meanings. You can identify a deponent verb by its three principal parts: sequor, sequī, secutus sum: to follow 1. sequor: 1st singular present deponent indicative (-ō à -or) 2. sequī: present deponent infinitive (-ere à -ī) 3. secutus sum: 1st singular perfect deponent indic.
