Suleyman Demokan, the Vice-President (Academic Development) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has been with PolyU since 1988. He was the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department from 1988 to 1995; the Dean of the Engineering Faculty from 1995 to 2000 and from 2004 to 2005; the Associate Vice President from 1997 to 2000; and the Vice President overseeing University research and academic appointments & promotion between 2000 and 2003.
