Community Liaison & Visual Artist Last year, with your support, we: Treasurer Sharonlee Vogel, Board President David Kay (July 2018–April 2019) • Awarded 65 grants to local and regional arts organizations and county SunTrust Bank PTAs totaling nearly $600,000 and serving nearly 300,000 community Adam Stull (from May 2019) members. Howard Bank • Secured and awarded nearly $100,000 to individual artists in the form of Directors scholarships, grants, honoraria, and awards; including 34 grants to art- Ellen Flynn Giles ists effected by the 2018 flood through our Re-Create: Ellicott City Artist EFG Enterprises Relief Fund. Janet Schreibstein Community Liaison • Worked with the County to develop the Circuit Courthouse Call for Public Artists, Tracey Pullo Schutty administered the application process, and served on the Art Advisory Panel that Community Liaison & Musician reviewed 96 applications and recommended 6 finalists for the new courthouse Dami Soh Schlobohm public art installations. Community Liaison & Musician • Collaborated with The Howard Hughes Corporation on the second annual George Wilson Merriweather District Artists-in-Residence Program, served on the Advisory Panel HCPSS Fine Arts Advisory Council that reviewed 175 applications from national and international artists, and moder- Legal Counsel ated the Pushing Identity Boundaries Through Art panel discussion with MD AIR Jeff Agnor Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny, LLC artists Ram Devineni, Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann, and Sarah Stefana Smith. • Hired a consultant and convened dozens of key stakeholders to develop strategies [continued on page 7] Mission Statement: To serve and enrich our community by fostering the arts, artists, and arts organizations.
