Piggee for appointment to the rank of major general, the Defense Department announced Jan. 23. HEIDELBERG, Germany -- The president nominated the Commander of the 21st Theater Social Media Sustainment Command for appointment to the rank of major general, the Defense Facebook Department announced yesterday. Twitter Brig. Gen. Aundre F. Piggee, a native of Stamps, Ark., assumed command of the 21st Flickr TSC, located in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Aug. 25, 2011. YouTube A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Piggee served in Germany from January 1986 to April 1988 as Direct Support Maintenance Officer and Commander of the 77th Maintenance Company, both in the 85th Maintenance Battalion, V Corps, respectively. His previous duty assignments include plans officer, G3, 13th Corps Support Command, III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas, in 1994-’95. His deployments were as commander of the 15th Forward Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas during Operation Joint Forge, Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1998-2000 and Commander of the 15th Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq between June 2005 and February 2008. Piggee served as deputy assistant chief of staff, C4 and assistant chief of staff, J4, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea from September 2009 to August 2011 before assuming command of the 21st TSC.
